Home Care & Aftercare

  • Gentle Washing: Use a sulfate-free shampoo once a week. Apply evenly, avoid excessive rubbing, and rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
  • Conditioning Routine: Apply a sulfate-free conditioner after shampooing, focusing on the ends and avoiding the base. Let it sit a few minutes, then rinse with cool water.
  • Weekly Deep Conditioning: Once a week, apply a deep conditioning treatment generously, leave on for 15-20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
  • Avoid Hot Water: Always wash with lukewarm water. Hot water weakens the bond between the system and scalp and shortens its life.
  • Pat Dry, Don't Rub: Gently pat with a soft towel to remove excess water. Rubbing can tangle and damage the hair fibers.
  • Detangle with Care: Brush 2-3 times a week with a wide-tooth comb or specialized brush, starting at the ends and working up.
  • Protective Styling at Night: Tie the system loosely in a silk or satin scarf, or sleep on a satin pillowcase, to reduce friction and tangling.
  • Minimize Heat Styling: Use heat tools sparingly and on low settings, always with a heat protectant spray.
  • Regular Inspections: Check periodically for wear, loose threads, or damage, and address issues promptly.
  • Professional Maintenanc: Schedule regular visits with a stylist experienced in hair systems for specialized care and upkeep.
